The journal, delivered
Follow the journal by RSS
Every article lands in your reader the minute it goes live, one to two a day, with the cover image and the summary. No account, no email, no tracking, and nothing between you and the post.
Paste it into any feed reader. If you only paste jcmobileappstudio.com, most readers find the feed by themselves.
What RSS is, in one paragraph
RSS is a plain file a site publishes with its latest posts. A feed reader is an app that checks that file for you, from every site you follow, and shows the new posts in one list, newest first, in the order they were published and not in the order an algorithm thinks you want. You choose the sites. Nobody sells the list. When you unfollow, it's gone. It is the oldest way to follow a site and still the best one.
How to add it
-
Feedly. Press the plus button, paste the feed link in the search box, pick the journal, choose Follow.
Open in Feedly -
Inoreader. Press Add, choose Feed, paste the link, press Subscribe.
Open in Inoreader -
NetNewsWire. Free on Mac, iPhone and iPad. File, New Feed, paste the link, Add. It syncs through iCloud.
Open in a feed app -
Reeder, Unread, Readwise Reader, Miniflux, FreshRSS. Every reader has an add-feed field. Paste the link there. Most of them also find the feed on their own if you paste jcmobileappstudio.com.
What's in the feed
- The 50 most recent articles, with the title, the summary, the cover image, the topics and the exact time each one went live.
- Everything from the journal: phone and Mac news, game reviews, box office and streaming picks, AI, personal finance and investing, and your rights at work. Each piece is checked against its sources and ends with a dated note linking to them.
- Scheduled posts appear in the feed at their go-live time, not before. Updates to a post after it goes live keep the same link, so your reader won't show it twice.
- No ads inside the feed, no tracking pixels, no shortened links. The links go straight to the article.
Other ways to follow
The journal is also listed with Google News under the name JC Mobile App Studio Journal, and on Threads and Facebook, where each new post gets a short summary. The feed is the only one of those that shows you every post, in order, with nothing left out.
