Privacy Policy

JC Mobile App Studio LLC ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect on jcmobileappstudio.com (the "Site"), why, and what choices you have. Apps published by JC Mobile App Studio may have separate, app specific privacy policies, which are linked from each app's listing.

What we collect on this Site

Support messages. When you send a message through a support form on an app page, we store what you enter, which may include your name, email address, device model, iOS version, and app version, along with your message, the app it relates to, the time, your IP address, and your user agent. We use this to answer you and to diagnose the problem you reported.

Bulk and school order requests. When you request a quote through the bulk order form, we store what you enter, which may include your name, email address, the name of your school or organization, the quantity and titles you are asking about, your deadline, and anything else you type in the message field, including a shipping address if you provide one. We use this to prepare and send your quote, to fulfill and ship an order you place, and to issue an invoice. If you ask for a W-9, a purchase order, or tax exempt handling, we will also process the paperwork your organization requires for that.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps short term access logs that include IP address, request URL, user agent, and timestamp, used for spam prevention and abuse mitigation.

Cookies and similar technologies. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third party trackers on this Site. Some pages, such as the free tools, save your progress in your browser's local storage so your work is still there when you come back. That data stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Affiliate links

Links to books on this Site are Amazon Associates affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Following an affiliate link takes you to Amazon, which then handles your visit and any purchase under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies to attribute the referral. We do not receive your name, address, payment details, or the contents of your Amazon order, only aggregate commission reporting.

How we use your information

• To reply to support messages and to troubleshoot the issue you reported.
• To prepare quotes, fulfill and ship bulk book orders, and issue invoices for them.
• To investigate abuse, spam, or security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information for money. We do not share the contact information you give us (such as your email) with third parties except: (a) our hosting and infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) and our transactional email provider (Resend), which delivers support messages and bulk order requests to our inbox, both acting as processors on our behalf, (b) when required by law, or (c) if the business is sold, in which case you'll be notified before any transfer of personal data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information (CCPA / CPRA in California, GDPR in the EU and UK). To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with the request and the email address tied to your records. We'll respond within 30 days.

"Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" (California). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising. We serve no advertising on this Site and set no advertising cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal where required.

Data retention

Past newsletter and app notify signups. We no longer run a newsletter and no longer collect app launch notifications, and there is no form on this Site for either. Email addresses collected while those were running still exist in our database. We do not email those addresses, and you can ask us to delete your record at any time using the contact address below.

Support messages are kept for two years so we can see the history of an issue if you write in again. Bulk and school order requests are kept for two years, and records tied to an order we actually filled, including the invoice, are kept for seven years to meet business and tax recordkeeping requirements.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

Security

Data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite) inside the Cloudflare network. The contents of support messages and order requests are not encrypted at rest within the database itself, but the database is only accessible to us via Cloudflare's authenticated tooling. Transport is always HTTPS.

Changes

We'll post material changes to this policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top.
