Tonight: add October's games before they rotate out
F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 have been the monthly games since October 6, and Sony's own post says members have until Monday, November 2, to add them. You don't have to download anything. Open the PS Plus tab on the console, or the PlayStation app on your phone, and press "Add to Library" on each one. Once they're in your library they stay yours for as long as you're subscribed, even after they leave the lineup. F1 25 is the one I'd grab even if you don't care about racing games; it's the kind of thing you'll want on a rainy Sunday in February. (PlayStation Blog, October)
Tuesday: the November three
Available November 3 through November 30 on every tier, Essential included. (PlayStation Blog, November)
- Dead Island 2 (PS5 and PS4). Dambuster Studios, April 2023, after a decade in development limbo. A first-person zombie game set in a Los Angeles that's been sealed off, with the best melee gore system anyone has built and a story that's mostly an excuse to walk from Bel-Air to Venice Beach. Critics landed at 73 on Metacritic. Online co-op for three; there's no split screen. Japan gets Secret Neighbor instead. (Metacritic, Deep Silver on co-op)
- Tomb Raider IV to VI Remastered (PS5 and PS4). Aspyr, February 2025: The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness, with the modern controls and the toggle back to the original graphics from the first remaster collection. Angel of Darkness was a broken game in 2003 and is a fascinating one now. This is three games in one download, which is where the briefing's "five titles" came from.
- Monster Train 2 (PS5 only). Shiny Shoe, May 2025. A deck-builder where you defend a train across three floors against waves of angels, with five clans and a run that takes about forty minutes. It opened at 90 on Metacritic on PC and sits at 87; there aren't enough PS5 reviews for a console score. If you only download one of the three, make it this one. (Metacritic, PC)
The Extra and Premium catalog additions for November haven't been announced; the reveal usually comes mid-month, so around November 11. What has been announced is what's leaving on November 17: Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, plus Football Manager 26, The Talos Principle 2 and a handful of others depending on region. GTA VI launches November 19. Nobody at Sony or Rockstar has said those two facts are related, and nobody needs to. (PSU)
The rest of the week, every platform
- Tuesday, November 3. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Switch 2, the 2002 GameCube brawler that people have been emulating for two decades. Solo Leveling Arise: Overdrive and The Slormancer on PS5. Zero Parades: Director's Cut on PS5, Xbox and PC. Pit of Goblin on Game Pass day one. Football Manager 27 opens early access on PC and Game Pass, with the full release November 10. Let's Sing 2027, if that's your house. (Push Square, Xbox Wire)
- Wednesday, November 4. VOID/BREAKER hits 1.0, Game Pass day one on Xbox and PC.
- Thursday, November 5. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, Switch 2 only, $59.99 digital. Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School, Game Pass day one, and the one I'd point couples at. Forefront on PSVR2. Also Thursday: Sony and Nintendo both report earnings, and Nintendo's Switch 2 shipment number against its 16.5 million full-year forecast is the one to watch.
- Game Pass, the rest of the month so far: Warhammer Survivors November 10, Thronefall November 11. Nine games left on October 31, including LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Deep Rock Galactic and Grim Fandango Remastered, so check your installed list before you assume something's still there. (Game Rant, Pure Xbox)
What I was sent, and what was wrong with it
- "Five titles confirmed." Three. The site that said five was counting the three Tomb Raider games separately and then, apparently, rounding.
- "Over 28 new titles will land on PlayStation platforms over the next seven days." Push Square's own count is 25 new PS5 and PSVR2 releases plus the three PS Plus games. Fine as a number, but most of the 25 are small, and the briefing named none of them.
- "Cross-gen Switch 2 ports and indie puzzlers to capture early holiday shopping traffic." Nothing specific, nothing sourced. The only notable Switch 2 release this week is the Godzilla remaster, and Thursday's Zelda isn't a port.
- It called Dead Island 2 "the headline download." Fair for the download size. Monster Train 2 is the better game, and the one with reviews to back that up.
- Nothing about the Extra and Premium removals, GTA VI, Game Pass or Thursday's earnings. The brief was the PS Plus post rewritten with adjectives.
What I'm playing
Monster Train 2 on Tuesday night, because forty-minute runs are what a work week allows. I'll add Dead Island 2 to the library and probably never install it, which is what most of us do with most PS Plus games, and that's fine; the point of the add is the option. Ocarina of Time on Thursday is the one I've cleared the weekend for.
Verified November 1, 2026, from the PlayStation Blog's November post, its October post, Push Square, Xbox Wire, PSU, Game Rant, Metacritic and Nintendo's investor calendar. The Game Catalog date of November 11 is the usual pattern, not an announcement. Regional PS Plus lineups differ; Japan's November list swaps Dead Island 2 for Secret Neighbor.
