Libreto Support

Libreto is a drawing studio, notebook, planner, and PDF editor built for Apple Pencil. Sketch and paint on a layered canvas, keep hyperlinked planners and journals, annotate and sign PDFs, fill forms, scan paper, and search or convert your handwriting on device in 20+ languages, in notebooks and in the ink you write on PDFs. Open files straight from Mail, Files, or Safari, start a note from Siri or the Home Screen icon, and find any document in Spotlight. No ads, and no account. Libreto makes no network requests of its own beyond your iCloud sync.

Tap the share button in Mail, Files, Safari, or any app and choose Libreto. PDFs, photos, and text or Markdown files are copied into your library and open right away. On iPad you can also drag a file from another app onto the library, or drop a photo onto a notebook page. Imported PDFs never count toward the free tier's document limit.

On iPadOS 27 and iOS 27, Libreto uses Apple's on-device handwriting engine, the same one behind Notes, which reads more than twenty languages including English and Spanish. The exact list depends on your device and is shown in the Search Handwriting sheet. On earlier systems, recognition uses Apple's Vision framework in English and Spanish. Either way, nothing leaves your device.

Libreto is free to try, with up to 3 of your own documents (notebooks, planners, notepads and text notes together) and a cap on recorded audio per notebook. PDFs you import or scan are never counted. One Premium purchase unlocks all of it, and there is only ever one tier: $19.99 USD per year (with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers), $2.99 USD per month (no trial), or a one-time $59.99 USD lifetime purchase. Nothing inside the app is sold separately. Subscriptions are billed through Apple and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The lifetime purchase does not renew.

Yes. With iCloud sync turned on, your documents and notebooks sync across iPhone and iPad through your own private iCloud, not our servers. If iCloud cannot be set up, Libreto falls back to local storage on that device rather than failing. You can also switch on App Lock, which puts Face ID in front of the whole app when you open it.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not the developer. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the Libreto charge, and request a refund.
